Ted’s Big Day Out! – Fluorescent Friday
Friday 19th October 2012
Help transform Cancer Services at Bath’s Royal United Hospital and take part in Ted’s Big Day Out! – the region wide fundraising day for The Forever Friends Appeal. Every year on a chosen Friday in October, thousands of organisations join in the fundraising and everyone takes their teddy bear out with them for the day.
This year, on Friday 19th October 2012, not only will teddy bears be taking over – but we hope you will also do something crazy with our Fluorescent Friday theme! You could go to work in fluorescent fancy dress, or make cupcakes decorated with fluorescent icing and sell them to your friends and family. Simply have a really fun fluorescent day at work or school – whilst raising lots of cash for a great local cause.
Every penny and pound raised on Ted’s Big Day Out! will go towards the RUH Space for Cancer Care Campaign. The first phase of this Campaign is for state-of-the-art Gamma-CT Scanner – a high-tech piece of equipment that is particularly effective at diagnosing some of the many different types of cancer that can affect us. The second phase is due to be launched to the public in the early Summer, but we can tell you now it will be a very exciting much larger project focused on bringing Cancer Services at the RUH under one roof!
More information about Ted’s Big Day Out! 2012 will be coming soon – so keep your eyes peeled for more information.
